One of the most important steps when planning for a major system implementation
is documenting and analyzing current business processes.
Although often neglected, an initial business process review provides a district with
insight into its daily operations and can result in: |
 |
 |
 |
Elimination of work steps that cause unnecessary delay and added expense. |
 |
Identification of unique system requirements that will increase the productivity and
effectiveness of district personnel. |
 |
A better understanding of each employee's relationship to the information and
workflow process. |

 |
“As-Is” Process Review and Documentation.
Through a series of focus groups and interviews with district personnel, Davidson Services collects process
information that enables a fundamental re-thinking of the steps taken to complete a task. Based on information
collected through the focus groups and interviews, Davidson Services prepares a draft report describing the major
work steps in each process including graphical process flow diagrams, process descriptions, and initial
recommendations.
