existing technology capabilities in the areas of technology planning, funding, policies and procedures; staffing and
operational support; professional development for technology support staff and end users, software applications,
hardware and network infrastructure. Stakeholders also provide input regarding key needs during the
assessment process. |

Step Three: Establish Goals and Objectives.
Once the assessment of the current technology environment is complete, we work with the district to establish
goals and objectives for technology improvement based on the assessment results and the need identified by
stakeholders. We also incorporate best practices identified through our work with a wide range of districts
nationally, our experience implementing current and emerging technologies, and continuous technical and
professional reading as an integral part of the goals and objectives. |

Step Four: Finalize the Plan.
Davidson Services facilitates the entire technology planning process, from engaging stakeholders in
assessing the district’s technology program and identifying needs, through drafting a plan based on the input
received. The final technology plan document will be reviewed and revised in cooperation with technology
department staff, technology steering committees, and district senior leadership. The resulting technology plan
will be aligned with district strategic priorities, address key needs, incorporate best practices, and provide a
framework for establishing a more effective technology program. |
